LimeWire Display Glitch - overlapping text Hi, i have been searching around google as well as these forums for a solution to this, but haven't been able to find anything Basically, right from startup of limewire, text glitches up. If I type something into the search bar, it will appear as if there is nothing typed, not until I maximize / Minimize the window will it appear in the box. The same applies for search results When searching, a bunch of results will appear, but then as it refreshes more results, they appear overlapped by the other results. Again, maximizing or minimizing the window resets it. It has become a nuisance trying to search for things, and pressing buttons when they disappear, or not knowing if I had searched something or not etc. Does anyone else have this problem? Any solutions? I have tried reinstalling limewire Limewire 5.5.8 Windows XP Professional I have used the program in the past and it has worked fine Windows Firewall, but turning off does not affect problem 4GB RAM >10GB hard disk space |
Try this: Reinstallation Technique :) Oh, make sure you backup your Downloads.dat file before deleting the LW preferences folder. My first thought is a Java issue. However, changing compatibility mode might help also. The newer version LW is 5.5.14 |
