i downloaded limewire today and it downloads songs but there is no sound. could anyone help with this? Thanks

What do you mean with "there is no sound"??
After you've downloaded the file and tried to play it with your media player?? And what media player do you use??

Well, the one from limewire isn't really a reliable one. You should try another one.
You could try and download the free VLC media player, which can play almost every media file due to its built-in codecs: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
