Help! After having LW running for a while it goes to a blank screen. I try to turn it off but it won't. When I do Ctrl+Alt+Delete is shows that the program is running, but I still have to use that action through the task manager to be able to shut it down. Any help, please.

Try the fixes suggested in these threads... they might not sound exactly like your problem but see if any of them work

I usually find that LW blanks its screen when I am either minimising or expanding it and, usually, when I have some other programs running at the same time. But in my case, I eventually get my screen back when windows hands back resources to LW.

So, if you are running LW while running other apps I suggest that you don't anymore - I am assuming that your O/S has switched some resources away from LW and is sharing it among your other active apps.
