Default Question about firewall

Is it ok if limewire doesnt show me firewall detection on my comp? I have ZA SS 6.5.722 and before it showed brick over little blue circle.
Everthing works very well except sometimes doesnt download with full speed though there 10 are hosts...

The LW firewall icon doesn't mean that your software firewall's enabled... means that a firewall somewhere is stopping LW from working properly. So, not seeing that icon's a good thing! It means you have things configured properly

Oh...Thank you very much!

Just one more question. I wrote that sometimes doesn't download with full speed(it downloads with 70% of max speed) though there 10 are hosts. Sometimes yes sometimes no. What's the problem then?

Your download speed depends a lot on the speed of the hosts you're downloading from, as well as your own speed. And even though the hosts may be showing as T1 or T3... doesn't mean that they actually have that speed (people change their speed settings within LW to try & increase their own download speed).

Download speed also depends on how many upload slots hosts have open...if they've got lots of upload slots open but not a lot of bandwidth to play with then nobody's going to get a very fast download from them!

You can help yourself out by making sure that your LW is set up for best perfomance. Have a look at the thread below, it has some really good tips
