 You were scammed  LW basic is free, FW is free too. LW Pro costs $18.88 USD which covers you for 6 months of updates & email support. The only official site for LW is www.limewire.com If you buy from any other site, you risk being ripped off & possibly downloading a version of LW with spy/adware. Have a look through the 2 threads below...the first has general info/scam sites etc & the second has some info about how users have been able to get a refund from scam sites http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showthread.php?t=28751 http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showthread.php?t=44499 You should contact your bank/CC company & ask them to cancel the transaction! They probably have a department to deal with scams/fraud.   |
