I wouldn't put shareaza 1st on that list. It's a leech program. Leeches from networks whilst it shares with another. System details - help us to help you (click on link)

(not to say raza doesn't have it's good points because it does. But depends upon user responsibility which is beyond most people! Because most people are selfish & greedy unless the point is made to them they are a part of a sharing group, not just I take all & run. If people didn't fairly share then there would be no downloads for anyone. Leeches are not wanted anywhere!)

True

Fair enough. I use Shareaza as a torrent client mainly anyway. For me it seems to have a much better resume protocol than Limewire. The downloads may take me longer (and usually do) :) but I do get them eventually. I at least share what I take. I cannot vouch for anyone else though.

Probably should not have added it to the list though. You're right on that.

I wasn't meaning to put the fair user down of shareaza down, but Gnutella users are all too familiar with raza users who offer attractive downloads but are too busy using their upload capacity elsewhere. Raza users often have those hard to get or rarer files, but attempting to connect or get consistancy in connecting or any speeds above 2 KB/s is often an effort that proves fruitless or ending up with lots of partial downloads that rarely seem to get to an end even if reconnected several times. Always nice to find the reasonable raza sharer though. And when people share fairly, so does the concept spread. (excluding those who are helplessly selfish & non-sharing; & there's a deliberate % of those in all p2p programs used; "user attitude")
