Unhappy No uploading?

Hi there. I have WinXp, with it's firewall off, but running Zonealarm. Also have a Trend-Net Router. I've given Limewire permission in Zonealarm, but I can not upload files, so users can download from me. I have no problem downloading! I just don't like to be a freeloader! Any suggestions would be welcomed!!!

Please give us your details
System details - help us to help you

In LW go tools > options > bug reports > view example. Scroll down to 'recieved incoming this session'...is it true or false? If it's false then you have a problem that's stopping you from recieving incoming connections from other computers...probably a firewall somewhere

Default No Uploading

I am running WinXp Pro, Zonealarm, and a Trendnet router model TEW-432BRP. I have the windows firewall shut down. I have a 200gb hard drive, and still have about a170gb free. I do have a brick wall in front of the globe icon. I have over 1gb of memory and my available physical memory is 434 mb. I use DSL, my modem is a Gnet ADSL modem. I'm connecting from my home. I'm using Limewire Pro ver 4.12.6, Java 1.5.0_05. My Internet Provider is Interent Kent. When I go to the test page, it says it worked! I'm not sharing, but I do have a router that can support wireless. That's about all that I can think of for now. Hope that helps!

Your router has a firewall. To start with, enable UPnP within the router & then choose the UPnP option within LW's tools > options > advanced > firewall config. Click apply to save the change.

Give it 15 mins, if the firewall icon's not gone then you can try port forwarding. Follow the instructions here
http://www.portforward.com/english/r...P/Limewire.htm

Make sure to set up a static IP address first, or port forwarding won't work (you'll find a link within those instructions). Just remember...LW's listening port & the port number that you forward thru your router MUST be the same

Also just double check that your XP firewall is off. I know ZA should turn it off automatically but just make sure.
