Default hiding my downloaded files

i use a wireless router, along with my brother and my dad to get internet connection. one thing that annoys me is that EVERYTHING i download can be seen by them. whether its music, videos, anything. is there a way to like not share it with them?

One way springs to mind, buy yourself an external HD and download your stuff to that. When you have finished your download session you can disconnect your drive and lock it away somewhere. And, obviously, reconnect your external when you want to use it again.

I first thought of a hidden directory on your C:\ drive but if you can hide it your brother and dad can likewise unhide it.

yeah the external hd is kindof out of the question, and yeah using a hidden directory is a good idea but they could unhide it

i was wondering if there were options built into limewire or something

No there isn't.

If the external HD is out then the final option, which will raise even more suspicion, is to have your own password protected account. But somehow I don't think your relatives will let you get away with that.
