Red face LOST my PRO version w/ UPDATE to 4.13.2

Please advise if there is any way to 'restore' or 'retrieve' my LW PRO version. I just downloaded a LW Update and it seems to have overwritten my PRO version. I tried LW Support but my PRO purchase must be older than 6 months, so I'm unable to email LW directly. I'm using OSX 10.4.9 - don't know my previous LW ver. since it seems to be gone from system. Thanks!

That's not good...If you haven't backed up your installer, your Pro is gone and unfortunatley you will have to re-purchase it again...

Just a tip you should always save the actual installer to another part of your computer by cutting and pasting it, so if this occurs again you will always have the installer saved...

I was afraid of that & you're right, that's NOT GOOD. When you say "save the actual installer to another part of your computer", how would that have saved my PRO version? Don't you need to enter a S/N or activation code to upgrade to PRO? Advise if you can as I'd like to make this mistake only once. Reminds me of the definition of "crazy" - repeatedly doing the same thing while expecting a different result.......

Thanks for your help!

When I download Pro, I control-click the link, then hold down the option key to get Safari's "Save As" dialog.

That way I can name the installer with the version, and don't have to worry about which one it is.

However, Safari won't overwrite an older installer--it will just change the name to something different.

So, unless you know you trashed the old installer, try a Spotlight search for "LimeWireSoftOSX" or "Lime OSX" and see what comes up.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I'll see what my Spotlight can locate. I've long switched from Safari to Firefox, but there may be a similar way of downloading w/ Firefox as you describe. Thanks for the help!
