You may have already done this, but another idea is to go to file-click disconnect-re-open lime wire (or restart your computer)-connect (this button is under file as well). I perceived your prior note as indicating that you were not sure about Java. You can go to java.com to get the latest update. Also, go to your browser (explorer, fire bird, etc.), and download new and appropriate links that relate to Java and improved functioning. Go to the tools tab on the top of your browser, click content, and verify that Java is enabled. Hope this helps, I know how frustrating this can be. It won't make a difference if you get the Pro version. Let's get LW basic to work first. What version of Java do you have? Open LW. Click on help, then click on 'About Limewire'. Java should be listed with version.

Have you tried connecting at different times of day?
