My Daughter loaded limewire ages ago, when my computer crashed in december, the tech uninstalled limewire and other programs when he was reconfiguring the computer.
We recently downloaded Limewire again but when I go to start the installation process, I get a warning - "An older version of LimeWire appears to be running. You must exit the old version before continuing with installation. Once you have exited LimeWire, click Retry" (Note that LimeWire may be running in your system tray. To exit, right-click on the lime icon and choose "Exit".) I searched my computer and can't find any other occurance of LimeWire. Someone please help! |

It sounds like the computer tech uninstalled limewire the wrong way...
Have a look in Start > All Programs > Limewire/uninstaller, if you see the uninstaller click on it... If not try a computer search (Start > Search) using the terms limewire.exe and if anything shows up delete it... Also just check your Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Delete) go to Processes and see if Limewire is running, if it is select the End Now option and then use the limewire uninstaller...
