search help please
Hi, i just downloaded LW,(kicka*s!), I downloaded one song, the 2nd it queued but never downloaded & now it will not even search.
 Whats up?? I'm not too techy & am stuck with dial up connection. Can anyone please help?

5. dial-up 6.Dell modem(1 year old) 56K? 7. connecting from house 8. 14.4.0 LW, Java 1.6.0_02 9. earthlink ISP 10. my test worked!! 11. there are NO other computers 12. yes, new to LW 13. there's a brick wall 14. modem set up??????? 15. norton anti-virus, i'm unarawe of any firewalls 16. usa thanks, i hope this helps. i'm sorry i can'y give more technical info about my set-up

Try these fixes...
Try uninstalling all versions of Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version.... Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11 Then uninstall Limewire using the uninstaller which is found in start > all programs > limewire...then re-install it using the offline installer...To find the offline installer, use the link below > cancel the installer window when it pop's up and then select the offline installer link... Lime Wire » Download LimeWire If that does not help with your problem try deleting your preference folder/s... Fixes for Limewire when LW isn't operating as it should
