downloading problem

hi i went to limewire and told it to download but all it gives me is info to get pro and i dont want pro i want limewire where i can burn my own free cd's can u help me?

i am having the same problem. I am trying to join for the first time and this is all the farther I get. I got my cd's ready and no music to download. I am pretty computer iliterate so if you ever find out how to link up with free music downloads could you let me know? thanx

Make sure that you're going to the official site to download LW.

Click on the big blue 'get basic' button on the right of the screen. Basic's free.

Once you've downloaded & installed LW, read through the LimeWire FAQ and User Guide and check out the sticky threads in different forum sections for other info.

LW won't burn CDs, it's a file sharing app. You can burn CDs of songs that you've downloaded, but you'll still need burning software. The threads below have info about burning to CD.

You should see a page with the options to download Pro, extended Pro & basic (can't post a screenshot to show you as there seems to be a problem with uploading attachments right now!).
