getting started on a mac

hi..this might be silly cause ive had my mac for a while but ive installed limewire on my computer..for all the mac users for understand what im saying......the limewire icon comes up in my dock at the bottom of my desktop and onto my desktop but when i double click it, it takes me back to installation again!!!! how do i get this working?!?!?! please help i really want to start using limewire on my laptop! thnx
