Sounds like a codec prob. You can download a player, like VLC, or you can download the codecs for your player. I use Widows Media Player, with a codec pack for windows from download.com. Both of these options are free.
You might go ahead and get G-Spot while ur at it (also free). G-S will look at your movie files and tell you wazup. |

Sorry about your troubles. What was it that you Googled? How did "trojan horse" appear?
We'll be glad to help you if you provide more info. I'm left to guess that you downloaded something that's causing problems. If you downloaded a codec pack, VLC Player, or G-Spot from download.com (run by CNet), you shouldn't have a problem with them (I've used those programs on a variety of computers). |

Blessings in disguise, my dear ! Blessings in disguise !
Fact... A Rock Solid One That Is Not Going To Go Away In My Lifetime... One of the best things you can possibly do for yourself in regards to your computer is to WIPE THE MONSTER at least every 6 months... Not some ponsy Windoze "format" during the install of your OS... NO ! I mean something REAL such as Partition Manager or whatever else you may prefer. Want a clean computer ? Clean it. Got a problem that takes more than a max of 10 hours to sort and fix ? Wipe it and go from nada. Once you've done a number of proper formats and installs of your OS and all desired applications, you'll whizzzzzz through them afterwards. No Big Deal. And you'll sure put together one ace collection of program installers and learn the magic of BACKING UP your prsonal files - If you're really good you'll save all of your stuff 15 minutes BEFORE you crash - bit like always reefing a mainsail 15 minutes before you get hit by a wall of wind ! p.s. Be sure to charge your friends real money when they see what you can do ! So, spirits up and no more, "Woe is me !"
