Default Limewire appears to be a rip-off! Is it?

I am so unhappy with Limewire. I bought Limewire Pro and duly loaded it. But it doesn't work. Whenever I do a search it issues a message saying that it is connecting to the network, then issues no results for my search. I have tried to do all the suggestions in support pages. Then, I had to cope with a rude Limewire technical "support" person who told me I had to say what the problem was without describing the problem! I'm not joking! When I did my best all I got back was all the same info that I had already tried from the Limewire website. So I decided to get my money back. Now I discover Limewire has a strictly no refunds policy. It appears to be a rip off because I cannot get the technical support I need.

Stick with the basic version, it's just as good as Pro....Your also not the first to complain about the tech help either, quiet a few people have said they thought it rather rude....

Could you supply your system details so we can check out what is going on with your set up....

Same answer I just gave to someone else. I had limewire for years no problems. After my latest update it wouldn't connect.I found this answer.Find documents and settings, your user name, limewire folder, then find a file called gnutella.net and delete it! Reopen limewire and it should reload the deleted file and work. Good luck.
