Help! Installation won't complete.

After clicking on instal my limewire says that i need to close a limewire that is already runing before installation can be complete. My computer did have limewire but crashed and all files were lost it is therefore no longer there after searching the whole computer fles thoroughly so what should I do?

Please help!

1. Use the add/remove programs control panel & see if LW is listed, if yes, then choose remove.

2. Run this small simple utility to clean up the system: Crap Cleaner

3. Download & install the "OFFLINE" version of Java which is between 13-15 MB in size (be sure to choose the Offline version), then install. Download Java software from Sun Microsystems (click on this link)

4. Delete your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)

5. Install this OFFLINE installer version of LW: http://www9.limewire.com/download/LimeWireWin-full.exe
