Hi, I have downloaded limewire 4.18.8, and tried to install it. I get a message that says, An older version of limewire appears to be running, please exit the old version before continuing with installation. I don't have any other version. I have windows vista home premium. 56k. Thanks to all who help

1. Control-Alt-Del .. bring up Process manager & kill any LW shown running.
2. Delete LW's preferences (if any); instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.) 3. Download & install this version: http://www9.limewire.com/download/LimeWireWin-full.exe |
