Before we can help you, the very first thing that we need to know is which version of LW you're using.
Even if you don't have a connection or download/upload problem that requires a lot of system details - most of the time we'll still need to know which version of LW you're using.

LW 4 versions were released from 2004 - 2008.
LW 5 was released in 2009 & it's miles away from LW 4.

LW 5's options are different, error messages are different, sharing's different, user interface is different, handling of downloads (& incomplete files) is different..... and the list goes on.

Advice given to somebody using LW 4 will often be completely different to advice given to somebody using LW 5. And advice given to somebody using the earlier versions of LW 5 (5.0) will be different to advice given to somebody using LW 5.1 or 5.2 versions.

So... before we can help you with your problem (no matter how small), we need to know first of all which version of LW you're using. That way, we can give you info that applies to your version. Otherwise we all waste time

To find out which version of LW you have, open LW & click on Help. Then click on About LimeWire. Now you'll see a page with info about your LW version.
