LW freezes when i launch it

i don't know what is going on.... I just download and installed the new version of LW and when i try to launch it this is what happens.... first it asks me about sharing files for the library, if i should choose the files automatically or manually (I've try both ways and even chosing not to share anything) and then it starts connecting and loading the library... at this point it freezes.... i have tryed to uninstall java and then install it again and the same thing with the new LW version... i've uninstall it and then reinstall it and nothing... it still freezes when uploading the library and connecting....

can somebody help me?? please??

This might be a bug for some people in the latest versions of LW. Have a look at this thread: LimeWire Forums

You can either

(b) Revert back to 4.18.8 & see whether the problem is solved. You didn't say which version of LW you were using before you updated, so without knowing that then best I can suggest for an older LW is 4.18.8. There's a page to download old installers: Lime Wire » Download Out-Of-Date Installers

If you're using Pro, your personal download page has a link to 4.18.8 on the left hand side - 'Get LimeWire Pro Classic'.
