Hello,
Does your home dvd player support all format/codec ?
Remember that *.avi files can be builded with different codec.
Do you burn just the file you download from limewire or do you burn the dvd like a dvd type ?
Do you try to understand wich codec is inside your movie ? (audio and video)
Download and try gspot for that purpose http://www.headbands.com/gspot/
