Gee, I left Gnotella run overnight and it went to something like 300 megs memory usage (I htink it was mostly swap tho)!!! I'm glad I have 256 megs RAM, and 1GB of swap, or else my box would have been dead! It was real slow, until I closed gnotella and reopened it... This sounds like net cache issue, but I might well be wrong since I don't know Gnotalla's internal data structures.

Memory usage has been decreased significantly in the upcoming release. This is related to the use of the gnotella_ex.net file and not reusing sockets; both of which have been changed.
