Shutdown Sequence Could Gnotella have a Shutdown Sequence type thing?
This suggestion stems from the fact that I think to myself "I'm going to leave in about 30 min" but there are numerouse people downloading from me and I don't want to cut them off mid stream and don't want to allow people with downloads lasting more than that time to start a new session, but then again people with less than the specified times I woudln't mind starting a new session on.
Also where this would be usefull is if I want to shut down Gnotella because I'm done using it and want the resources back, but dont want disconnect people who are downloading.
Anyway, the explination of Shutdown Sequence:
Mode A: I click a button and say how long untill I disconnect. I will allow everybody with less than that amount of time left till they're finished downloading and disconnect all those who will take longer than the specified time. It will also allow new connections to start, so long as their downloads are less than the specified time.
Mode B: A server only mode. I click the button and it disconnects me from GnutellaNet but allows the current downloads to finish. This will save memory and CPU cycles by not having to forward all those packets and keep track of sockets, but will allow users previously connected to continue their downloads.
