Post A few tweaks for .7

OK, just got .7 and have a few tweaks/suggestions for it.
A) You should put the banned list or at least the banned list blocked message count back on the stats page.

B) You should have Winamp controls built right in and a list of shared files (a'la Napster). So you just press play on that file you just got to make sure it works.

C) You should institute MD5 checksums as described in this http://gnutelladev.wego.com/go/wego....-1&action=view GnuTella Dev message board post. It would releave alot of head aches caused by wondering if the file downloaded completly. You could also have a database of recent file downloads so a user can just go to that tab and see what files are complete, what files are bad and where they came fro,.

C) Multiple cues. Like the multiple searches so you could, for example, cue one album up in one que and another in another que without them getting in the wat of each other.

A) Good idea.
B) Not so good, Gnutella is for more than just MP3s. Why add what is basically a filebrowser & MP3 player when Exploer/WinAmp does just fine.
C) I cant see it at this time, so I have no idea if its feasible or not.

Cool

No, I was in #Gnutella on EfNet this after noon and was asking some questions and got to talking to a fellow about banning things like .avi and other crap and he said that it had already been added in .72 due out in a day or two. He said he ran the Gnotella site if I remember. So, uhh, theres the story.

I agree... a filebrowser would work great (more comparable to scour than napster) then when you want to test out an mp3 you just execute it and winamp will popup (or whatever default player you have)
