First, I've searched both Gnu(o)tella sites and read every FAQ I could, as well as reading all these threads. I can't seem to find the answer to:
Does Gnotella (0.73) use only FTP? My firewall at work has FTP disabled, but I can go through HTTP. I can download from gnutella-searched sites (doing a Save-File As) such as AudioFind.com. From what I've been able to determine, the only open port on our firewall is 80. Yet I can't seem to get a connection, and I've tried setting the firewall section in Gnotella Config. There is little to no mention of what the FORCE LOCAL IP TO does or how it is supposed to work. If my only way out to the internet (HTTP) is ##.###.##.##:80, can I use Gnotella and if so, what settings and where? Second, the bug report: When I exit Gnotella 0.73 I get the error: Run-time error '429' ActiveX component can't create object [email protected] |
