i have downloaded both versions of gnutella and followed all directions. it has created an icon on my desktop but when i try to open it, it says the program is out of date and needs a new version. what do i do?

Are you referring to Gnutella or Gnotella? If you were referring to Gnotella, you probably need to download newer <a href="http://forums.gnutellanews.com/Forum5/HTML/000089.html ">Visual Basic Runtime Files</a>.
