Gnotella (Windows) Gnotella has been discontinued. We highly recommend you use an actively developed client instead. |

![]() I and alot of other users cant get any search replies I have tried it many times over the last month. I am expirenced with the gnutella network and the setting are right and everything about gnotella works except the search which renders the client usless |

![]() I totally disagree. I get results. I get results from gnotella that i dont get from other tella clients. (see toadenode bug forum) How do you expect the author to debug with such a general complaint. did you tell us that you were directly connected to a host doing a search on a file that you know absolutely should have been found. No. did you tell us the search characters you used? No. did you try the same words using a different client and got results? No. this is a bug reporting forum not a bitching session. know what you are talking about before speaking. try the help forum and learn something. It pains me to have to write a comment in the bug forum but i know for a fact this complaint will become the largest thread from idiots that dont know wtf they are doing. a short search example faq NOT VALID *.* *.mp3 mp* .mp3 \mp3 ab*ef (this is valid in one tella client only all others will ignore it) valid but very BAD to use a 1 _ mp3 (or any extension type) a mp3 divx VALID metal my files blake7_02 |

![]() [QUOTE]Originally posted by Picker: I totally disagree. I get results. I get results from gnotella that i dont get from other tella clients. (see toadenode bug forum) I have the same problem. I have used Gnutella and ToadNode, but I don't like their interface as much as Gnotella. No matter what I do, I can't get more than 2 search results out of Gnotella. I can do a search for something like 'mp3' or 'live' and get no results. I do a sarch for "studio C" and I get 1 result (microsoft visual studio C++). The client reports that I'm connected to 20+ other clients with multiple TB of data but no matter what I search, I get no results. I have tried changing all config options, etc. I am running Windows 2000 server on a LAN with a direct T3 to OC3 backbone connection. I do get a few uploads while I'm on Gnotella (usually 3-4) but when I'm using Gnutella, I usually have 20-30 within a minute. Is there anything else I can provide?? Eric |
