I discovered the resolve for this perplexing problem:-) It seems that 9.6 will not work properly if there's nothing in the sharefolder, 9.3 did! Of course one should have something in there sharefolder however 9.6 auto creates an empty download folder in your system default area. So I decided to adapt that folder just to test the new version. 9.3 and previous version were not that restricting, good concept! but with no help file etc. to tell me that, I fell prey to it.
