![]() I found one thing that works for me, and no need to delete the .ini file (and thereby lose a few settings). This worked for me, no guarantees, YMMV, yadda blah blah etc.. Open up preferences, click on "Connect". Make sure "When in Ultrapeer mode" are both checked and have a valid number for them (any number), and "Apply" - should have immediate results. Doesn't matter if you have "Able to become Ultrapeer" checked in "Network" or not. (I leave it as not, since there seem to be more ultrapeers than anything else, and they suck as connections too) |

![]() Mate, when I looked in the folder I couldn't see an .ini file either. The only way I seem to have any success reinstalling, is to install it b4 any updates. It still takes awhile b4 the extra files d'load though.I'm certain the same finks that fill the searches with duds are feeding mongrel files into the update as well. ![]() |

![]() I had the same problem as eveyone else here. I did a little research on port forwarding and found the site PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall It will help you configure your router to allow the Gnutella network This is the page I went to once I clicked on Gnutella. PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall It has a listing of different router names. Just find yours and go through the directions. Hope this fixes yours like it did mine. |

![]() Gnucleus relies on http://www.gnucleus.net/ since that's where it EVOLVES from... (see Help menu). (Isn't Evolve the same as auto-update??!?) Anyway, http://www.gnucleus.net/ is dead. Someone needs to either program Gnucleus to look elsewhere, or someone buy the domain and get our webcache files up there. Last edited by andrewwan1980; December 16th, 2008 at 10:50 AM. Reason: Somehow the forum-edit box auto filled in Halo 3 Forum when I typed in the URL http://www.gnucleus.net/ ???? |
