although... even though the estimate is no longer valid the drop nodes with less than X friends would still prove useful for dropping "really" low quantities.... ie: less than 5 (lets say that only 50% of the clients now pong... that still means that you have a low number of 10 connections).. it's these kinda hosts that I don't like connecting to as they just suck up a connection... I figure the whole drop friends thing should still be there albeit in an automatic sense... just a thought... I often find my self with a couple host with 1 or 2 friends... I get rid of them and replace them with some 200 friend groups and I get far better search results... the count of friends is still a little valid...

I took out the min stuff cause it didnt work anymore. I know how to re-implement the feature using the a different method. Hopefully you'll see it in 1.5.2.

How about using minumum size of the file library instead of number of friends?

I like the idea of using the amount of bandwidth a node is useing to judge how good it is.
