Video problem

I have installed SUSE Linux 10.1. I works just fine with a CRT monitor and even with my LCD monitor. However, with the LCD monitor I get a small floating window that says, "Unsupported Signal" It's an ACER monitor. I have written them requesting driver info. No offense intended but this is really the wrong place to ask such questions. You better ask in a SuSE or Linux support forum or mailing list. Or maybe even contact the hardware vendor of your LCD. Most-likely you have to adjust the resolution, vertical scan frequency or the like for your LCD because LCDs are very picky about this and not as flexible as CRTs.

The title of this forum is "Gtk-Gnutella (Linux/Unix)". The "Linux" in title just means that Gtk-Gnutella also runs on Linux. Other than that this forum has nothing to do with Linux.

Do you know Gtk-Gnutella at all?

I only explained things to you. If you feel offended that's not my fault. My nick is Hyper-kun. I didn't ask for the title "Senior member" and it's probably given to anyone who signed up more than a few months ago or wrote a certain amount of posts.

Actually I was not offended. You are right, it would be my fault. Your closing question: "Do you know Gtk-Gnutella at all?" seemed to indicate a lack of compassion. Perhaps I mis-interpreted.

You could try and look at this thread here; even if it doesn't offer a solution to your specific problem, it might give you a chance to ask them for help. Though the idea that it is a driver problem you have alreqady had by yourself.
