The old BearShare probably tangled things up a bit in the networking
components of Windows. It was too aggressive in opening and closing
connections which tended to leave behind a lot of orphaned packet fragments
in the networking buffers. Eventually Windows runs out of places to put those
fragments and the next program to come along that wants to open a lot of
connections finds Windows unable to keep up.
What's a pando? Any relation to the Panda antivirus? |
