Im pretty agree with Mannequin her, BearShare 8.1 is NOT THE REAL GOOD OLD BEARSHARE......It's the iMesh clone with use of BearShare logo/icon on it...The real BearShare stoped development after version 5.2.x and up, if i remember it right! And you mention about Lite editon, and if you want it you can use it...I do not recomend use of BearShare Lite 5.2.5 at all, use older one is better! not that bad to use.... ;-))

EDIT: We have also on the forum if you look a round different p2p apps for you to try like: Phex, Morpheus, Shareaza, Gnucleus, just to mention few....
