et voila:
Are you 100% sure the CPU problem is unrelated to hashing? Does it happen if you're disconnected from the network? Thanks, Chris |

connected without downloads/uploads 20-25% of processor and disconnected is about the same. Wow! If I unshare, cpu usage stays the same.
5 mins passed... I totally uninstalled LimeWire components of my home folder, and reinstalled it from a new download, still 25% cpu usage disconnected and no sharing. HEH! |

What version of MacOS are you running? What version of Java?
Try making sure that Tools->Options->Connection->"Connect on startup" is unchecked and set your keep-alive to 0. Now quit LimeWire and restart. Do not hit "connect" or adjust the keep-alive. Is the CPU still high? Double check that you are not connected by looking at the connections tab. Thanks, Chris |

Mac os X.2 clean install french language both Os and limewire. so java 1.3.1.
" Try making sure that Tools->Options->Connection->"Connect on startup" is unchecked and set your keep-alive to 0. Now quit LimeWire and restart. Do not hit "connect" or adjust the keep-alive. " Been there done that, CPU still over 20% with limewire 2.6.1 even when I modify ads.props to not have ads! Also since limewire 2.5.x (at least on mac os X.2) sometimes the start setup pops up at random when opening limewire and I have to re-enter all my config. Hint: Is your InstallAnywhere up to date for this OS?? Have you ran lime on the new operating system? Is your .plist (preferences) effective? It looks as a java loop process, but what do I know about that? Nothing. Bonne chance Lime team! |
