I just put 3.1.0 back in, ive been useing limewire since december and have had no problems. yesterday i downloaded 3.2.0 and since then i had really poor search results, and what i thought were slower downloads. I have cable, 1.5 toshiba laptop and havent changed anything significant since i first used limewire. I thought someting was strange when no one was uploading from me, as soon as i was back to 3.1 i saw uploads. What was that about?

I have had few uploads with both 3.1.0 and 3.2.0. I see no difference between the two. I get perhaps 5 percent the uploads I got with older versions of Limewire.
Another thing I notice is the searches are not grouping well. Same length same filename files return separately in the searches. Norm |

3.1 has a couple of bad bugs, I would advise you not to use it.

something that works with bugs is better than something without that doesnt

It doesn't work. 3.1 doesn't route QueryHits properly. All LimeWire versions from 2.9.something to 3.1 cannot be searched properly.

Are you getting a normal number of uploads on 3.2? I am getting the same results I saw with 3.1 Norm |

@jsn
2.7.13 polluted the download mesh with expired alternate locations (that could be weeks old). It didn't handle http download requests properly and all new ultrapeers (2.9.8+) will send you only half the number of results because they disadvantage old limewire clients. @Norm Make sure that you are not only using version 3.2 but that you are connected to 3.2 ultrapeers. |
