I do use LimeWire, because it is good for my day to day use.
You might find more files with Shareaza, but I'm not sure how many of those you will really be able to download.

Question Love Limewire just wish!!

I love to use Limewire it is a smooth and stable program, I just wish that there was an option in the download area that would allow just like Kazaa to search for more sources if a download starts and then the sender logs off. This would make this program the ultimate in the p2p programs, But I'm still not disapointed that I upgraded to pro..

LimeWire did have such a feature at one point. It was much too aggressive though and harmed the network and now they are afraid of re-adding such a feature although nearly all other Gnutella clients seem to have one or the other form of automated requerying.

I use both programs, though, usually more Shareaza than Limewire. I always check to see each new version of Limewire and have been very impressed with their progress this year, especically the landmark of Firewall to Firewall transfers.
The main reason ive been using Shareaza more is because i find the program easier to use and i have a lot more control of the program. Also the library beats Limewire's hands down. On the flip side, i agree LimeWire does have more stable downloads and this is sure to improve even more in the future with F2F.

What kind of stuff would you like to see in LimeWire's library?

Its just small things like for example:

Being able to right click in the library tree and click "Share files" and be able to find the folder that you want to share quickly. With Limewire i have to go Tools>Options>Share files>add. The Shareaza way just seems more convenient.
Also sometimes i find the need to quickly find a file in my Library, Shareaza has a little find files input box at the bottom right where u can easily search and retrieve the file you are looking for. Which is quick and effective.
Another thing i dont like with the LimeWire library is that when you click on a main folder, for example called "mp3's" it doesnt show all of the files in that folder if there are lots of subfolders containing music files, such as the artists or an album. I have to manually click on each of the sub folders inside "Mp3's" to view the list of mp3's i have.

All these things sound kinda small and trivial but are very convenient and efficient.

Default LimeWire Forever

I have used the following P2P's and here are my results:

Morpheus Basic & Pro: Hangs up all the time and you can't reload partials if you shutdown. PASS

SoulSeek: Very good for music but limited video files and DL's take forever and a day. They have a good host browser feature. PASS

KAZAA and all its demon evil versions: BAD BAD BAD. STAY AWAY - DO NOT GO INTO THE LIGHT.....

LimeWire Basic: Some small issues until you get your OPTIONS set best for your system and overall very good.

MY TWO CENTS FOR LIBRARY IMPROVEMENT IN LW:

You should be able to highlight your whole Library when you want to resume incomplete files rather than one by one. If you have thirty files that are partials and you reconnect or want to try again later, you have to highlight choices one at a time. This gets a little tedious.

This must just be an issue in the Windows version. On the mac simply hold shift (as with most things) to select multiple files to do what you want to do with them. I just tried it (resume) with several at the same time & not a problem in either dwnld/library wind's. Are you 'sure' u can't do also do this on pc (or did I misunderstand your point.) Actually I often select multiple files for various things such as to dwnld/kill dwnld/delete from list. Don't tell me the mac version is better (hehehe)
