I just tested and the browser calls are not working on windows. All the things that use browser call are affected (things mentionned earlier) and it doesn't matter if either Firefox or IE is the default browser. Justin? Dave? :D

Are you sure it can also launch multimedia files in windows? Someone using LW 4.9.20 can't seem to get their video players to launch: Trouble previewing video files...

It is fixed in 4.9.21 now available

2. Clicking "Revert to Default" in the Options window now reverts A L L setting to DEFAULTING wiping out ALL library preferences, connection speed, etc. I mean they are ALL changed.

The standard Limewire, at any rate in OSX does this as I found out at my expense amonth or so back ... so this is nothing new but I do wish they would change it or put up a second chance warning. `In New features requests I was promised it would be looked into

I'm taking a break from Beta for a day or three as 19 was giving me what I thought were problems, so I'm checking how things work on 4.8.1 so I'm sure I know what I'm talking about!

I just realized my post could be seen as a dig at Deacon... It was not ...it was at myself! appologies for all if any offence caused:eek:

None taken HOBO. I need a break from these BETA's too. Seems the more bugs we report the more we find. I believe it used to be referred to as the "Peter Principal". You take a good thing and promote it one step above efficiency and instead of backing it back down one step you go one step higher to greater inefficiency.:D

I'm not sure I have the computer know how to test a beta efficiently, but ordinary people will be using the product so I guess my input should be valuable. I'll make some time and get back soon. Take care

1. Double clicking .avi, .mov or divx files no longer activates the default movie viewer as it did in the past. Now the player/viewer must be activated and the file found.

What do you mean by player/viewer must be activated and the file found?

As mentioned by et voila, there was a fairly major bug in the launching of native file (only on Windows) in 4.9.20. This bug was introduced inadvertently during the implemention of a feature requested by another beta tester, and we've moved on to 4.9.21, which seems very solid so far.

I don't want to sound like a broken record, but we are rapidly converging on a near-bug-free version.

We are tremendously grateful for everyone's dedication so far. We've come a long way since 4.9.0!
