BETA 4.9.20 Bug Report

This is either a Bug report for 4.9.20 BETA or just some variables.

1. Double clicking .avi, .mov or divx files no longer activates the default movie viewer as it did in the past. Now the player/viewer must be activated and the file found.

2. Clicking "Revert to Default" in the Options window now reverts A L L setting to DEFAULTING wiping out ALL library preferences, connection speed, etc. I mean they are ALL changed.

3. You can no longer use the "Ctrl" function to load multiple files.

But tonight we'll see. 4.9.19 was a great improvement. Looks better a ll the time. Good job.

OOpps!! Spoke too soon. Did you rewrite the "SEARCH" function?? Whereas, before, I was able to perform 8 searches on various .avi files and get hundreds of returns for avi's in addition to mp3, .zip, .ISO. .bin, .txt and all the others. Now I have a better chance of finding Bin Laden than I do of finding .avi's. My returns for .avi's has been cut from hundreds to maybe a dozen or so.

Now I checked to see what others are running to d/l form me and most are running 4.8.1 or older in addition to the other Gnutella programs.

I am running 4.9.20 and now even my downloads have dropped to 4 to 6 at 11 kb/s if Im kicking butt.

Whatever you changed in this area............

I am unable to do any Bitzi look ups with 4.9.20 my browser does not launch worked fine with 4.9.19 or myabe it could be becuase of recent updates to my OS

under osx, I can bitzi just fine as I can launch movies in latest beta.

Deacon: 4.9.20 just updates the GUI not the CORE so I doubt speeds and searches should be changed compared to 4.2.19. Can it be only because you are now UP and were then a leaf? (Leaves are known to get better results than UPs).

Ciao

I can no longer access this forum from the tools in LimeWire.

I can no longer access the forum from the tools in LW also.

Also in LW view>show/hide>monitor ------ if you hide the monitor tab then show it again ---- it clears the the autocomplete text fields. It also resets the search tab --- select search type: to all types

The firewall is showing again in my LimeWire and there is not a thing more I can do for it.

Everything more or less was hunkey dory in 4.9.19 but on this somone pushed the wrong button or turned the wrong knob.

AND YOU KILT BITZI>>>BITZI IS GONE!!!!

Bitzi don't work!!

et voilą August 11th, 2005 05:46 AM

seems like a windows thing: I can access forums and bitzi just fine on osx, in fact those are linked since they all call a browser window with a specific address  This would mean that you can't access FAQ and and Using LW too, right? Are you able in library to do on a file a Lookup File With Bitzi and a Show Magnet Details? Are you using Firefox or IE as default broswer?

I'm gonna test that... on my xp boxen

Ciao

Given that you're working...

Given that you've worked on the tray icon wouldn't it be good if you could work on this submitted bug as well while you're at it. I think it deserves attention: http://www.limewire.org/jira/browse/GUI-6 .
