A beta version of LimeWire 1.8b is now available for testing at http://www.limewire.com/index.jsp/download_beta. This service release fixes some bugs in 1.8:

<li>system tray works properly on Win98
<li>matches rich queries and metadata more strictly
<li>chat menu only enabled if host chattable
<li>changing view scrolls to selected result
<li>added ability to sort search results by metadata (e.g., bitrate)
<li>small XML schema updates
</ul>
