![]() originaly reported by me in this thread http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...?threadid=6423 now that most major antivirus companies confirmed that DLDER.EXE IS A TROJAN i would like to know what LimeWire developers have to say about that and when clean, spyware/trojan free version will be released. |

![]() I just read the whole privacy statement from Clicktiluwin http://www.clicktilluwin.com/clickprivacyterms.htm Everyone reading the whole document should be warned about the spyware danger. A software that installs a "C:\Windows\explorer\explorer.exe" (see §19 in the link above) isn't a freindly 'Adware'? |

![]() Limewire deserves all the bad press it gets for including adware and spyware in their software with no warning to users and no option not to install it. Good software notifies users of any "extras" it will install, especially if they are controversial. Perhaps the all the bad press will teach software companies (even ones providing free products and looking for a way to profit) to respect their users rights. http://news.cnet.com/news/0-1005-200-8335745.html |

![]() to FULLY remove the ClickTillUWin adware: a) click “Start” and then “Run”; b) Type “regedit” in the run window and click “ok”; c) expand “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE”; d) expand “Software/games”; e) delete the “clicktilluwin” key; f) go to “\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run” under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE section; g) delete the “dlder” key; h) close regedit; and i) delete the file “C:\Windows\dlder.exe” and “C:\Windows\explorer\explorer.exe”. Deleting the icons will only stop you from being able to manually pull up their game, but your web surfing habit and details will continue to be sent to them, and advertisements may continue to pop up. Most of this information is from their "policy" page, however, some minor editting has been done. NOTE: one of those editting changes was resequencing their lettering of the steps... I really want a company that can't recite their alphabet without screwing up in charge of important privacy information about me. Did anyone at Limewire actually look at the company's privacy statement before including this tripe in the install? |
