Hey Sleepless, what do you think is the best number of simultaneous downloads that you can set in the Download section? Also, what port setting works best for you? I currently have mine set at 30000, but I have set the range from 30000-65000.

Thank you,
Andrew Perkins

Portnumbers in the range 49152 through 65535 http://www.iana.org/assignments/port-numbers

As for simultanious downloads, it all depends on your downspeed and system. I don't use Limewire anymore, so nothing works best for me.

Uploads should be throttled at at least 5KB/s under maximum and if acting as an UltraPeer probably closer to 15KB/s under maximum.

I may be a bit dense, but how exactly do you use the bittorrent option? I type in the URL: Google and then it says it can't find or download anything from the site. Also, here's a little tip, if you can't browse a host remove it from the list and let LW search for some more. I'd block some hosts if I only knew which ones should be blocked; a little help in that department please?

Thank you,

First: Limewire sucks for torrents. Use either µTorrent - The Light****** and Efficient BitTorrent Client or Azureus : Java BitTorrent Client (You will find links on how to setup the clients on the respective websites)

If you choose Azureus this might come in handy as well Main Page - AzureusWiki

Also: Bittorrent - Bit Torrent terms and definitions

You download and open the torrent file with the programs.

BTW Google is a great way to find torrents as well. Type "what you are searching for"+torrent in the search bar and press enter, then read the comments if available before downloading. There are many fake torrent files on public torrent indexing sites as well.

Sleepless, Azureus didn't find what I was searching for, so I'm sticking with utorrent for now. Haven't found anything with utorrent either, but maybe adding some more search engines to the list in the Advanced section might yield a better chance for the albums and songs I'm looking for. Could you please suggest more addresses to add to the list? As far as port settings go I've set LW and Utorrent at 50000 so maybe I should tweak that setting. Any help is greatly appreciated; btw do you have to pay for Bittorent or is it a free program?

Thank you,
Andrew Perkins

lol.. You use your internet browser not Azureus or uTorrent to find stuff. You just open the .torrent in Azureus or uTorrent. Use Google to search.

I did not include more sites because public sites are hit or miss. Anti filesharing companies put out fake files etc.

BitTorrent programs are always free to the best of my knowledge and BitTorrent is in most cases free, but it depends what you do with it.

If it's private sites you want then:

(I posted links to last page at time of posting, because open signup does noy mean open forever. So it's last page and work your way backward)

Well, I couldn't find torrents for **** LW finds an album or two but there's usually only one result which I've already downloaded. Guess I'll have to keep on looking, any help is greatly appreciated. Any tips, no matter how small might help me find these albums in their entirety.

Thank you,
Andrew Perkins

There's a torrent search engine that enables you to search for a torrent from all the major torrent sites. There may be others but I have not found them yet. The site is TorrentPond.com - Search ALL Torrent Engines Here. Give it a visit, it's worth it. Oh, Sleepless, I've been searching for *** videos; haven't been able to find the ***; please let me know if you run across these.

Thank you,
Andrew Perkins
