Dont know y but suddenly my total download speed does not pass the 50kbps, i used to download at 100 or more kbps when i had 1mega and now with 2,5 megas my downloads are much more slower when it is supposed to be all the opposite.
my firewall is desactivated and the limewire settings are as they used to be when i had 1mega. The time of the day is not the problem cause i have it activated almost all the day. I think the connections of me and the sharers is not the problem cause i have 2,5 megas and i only download files with lot of sharers.
speed stays in 50kbps either when i download 2 files or when i download 20, 30 or 40 files. it does not go up over it.
is somebody having the same problem as me, can somebody help me?
i'm using limewire since 2002 and this is the first time I'm thinking of changing this software for a similar one.

Hello,

First time here, so thank you first of all for creating this forum.

System; I have a 2.8gig, P4, 2gig ram system, connecting with DSL and I am running LimeWire pro 4.12.3.

Problem; Although "some" files download with only one source available, most of the downloads I am trying to use have multple sources. But, all of my files are sitting there with "need more sources" even though most have more than 10 sources to download from. I did try and define my searches, but I am still getting the same result. I tried to clear the download, and start them over, but same results. Am I doing something wrong? It says my connection speed is "turbo-charged" so I assume I am connected to the full extent possible. Reason is, right now I have 4 waiting in download and all 4 have at least 20 or more users, but none are downloading. I tried to leave it run over night, but woke up with none of them being started.

Next question; Do I need to stay in the same search window for the files to download faster or can I start another search and download?

Thank you for all your help.

Morriah
