Windows Media Player can play MP3s

You shouldn't have a problem playing MP3s

If you would like a stable, fun and advanced MP3 player - visit http://www.winamp.com - use Winamp. It plays MP3 WMA AVI and streams popular shows and tutorials for sites such as Deviantart.

It's safe and secure, it'll also be set as your Limewire's player (when you execute the file insted of preview)

Default burning music
My problem is copying them to a cd to listen to in my truck. They are mp3 format I need to be able to burn them and listen to them like a regular cd not mp3 disk.

I burned some MP3 files to a CD for my wife with no problems using my Windows Media. It was the same as burning WMA files.
