If your refering to music, I use itunes, I then create the playlist I want and burn it to CD. Itunes is very easy to use, it's alot better than WMP in my opinion...
With movies I use dvdsanta, santa will convert, join and burn in 2 easy steps.. Check it out....http://www.dvdsanta.com

Sometimes I simply want files off my computer to save space, even though I don't want to do anything with the files currently.
If that is the case, you can probably cut and paste your files to disc. I use Windows XP, and you can also select a file, then move it to the location of your choice.
