How did you uninstall? Don't uninstall via add/remove programs...it can cause problems. The correct way is via start > all programs > LimeWire & choose the uninstall option.

Try reinstalling LW (that should remove any previous version) & then uninstalling the correct way. If that doesn't work, use the computer's search to look for LW files & folders & delete from there.

When you had LW installed, was it popping up all the time & refusing to stay closed? If that was the case, it's caused by a worm. Try the easy fix at the end of point 2 below & if that doesn't work, check point 5 for help sites!
