Question Folders??

Is there anyway that I can make different folders for my songs ?? Like put all my country songs in one folder, rap songs in another, etc.

Yes.

But, it is something that you must perform with your Operating System...

Have a look in the 'main' Tips & Tricks Forum

Sure you can. (Guessing you are using XP).First, to make the folder your music is stored in easier to access, open Limewire & click on the Library tab, look at the bottom & click on Explore. This will bring up your Shared folder. At the top of the folder click on the Folder icon to bring up the folder tree on the left, which should have the shared folder highlighted. Right click on the highlight & choose the Send To > Desktop(create shortcut) option. You can now access the folder from your desktop whenever you want without actually having to open Limewire.

From within your Shared folder, look on the left under File & Folder Tasks & click on Make a New Folder or you can right click on a blank spot & select New > Folder. Name it Country ,or whatever you want & you will now have a new folder that you can drag & drop all of your country songs into. Make new folders for each style of music. You can also, if desired, move those folders to another folder that is already on your system, such as the My Music folder. In the event you may need to later remove Limewire, you will still have your songs.

No biggie. Just drag & drop the file into the appropriate folder. Click once & hold the left mouse button down on the song in question, & drag it to the folder you want it to go to. Releasing the mouse then leaves, or drops, the file in that folder.

Have you lost your shared folder ?? Are you using Vista ??

You will need to give a little more info on what you tried to set up before this happened...

I haven't lost my shared folder, and I am using Vista.
I have another problem, Some of my audio files have gone into another folder (most of them are in the shared folder and then there are some that are in individually shared) how can I put them all together???

Vista? Ouch. Well, just my opinion. Anyway, is the problem that they are being saved to different folders? If so, then you should look under the options on LW and make sure the files are being saved to the folder/folders you want them to be saved to. If not, it's a simple matter to change the folder. If you want them all going to one folder, just tell it that. For the files that are already split, you could just go into the folder you DON'T want the files in and tell the computer where you DO want the files to be. Move them, in other words.

Of course, you're on Vista, and I've heard countless horror stories about the way Microhard programmed that OS.
