I've been using Limewire for a couple of years now and have downloaded a lot of songs, I've had no problems but the last thing I want is a big nasty bill in the mail for a few thousand euros. I hear it's a pretty serious issue and people keep warning me.
Is there any good IP blockers or anything else that could prevent this?? I use Windows Vista so Peerguardian is not available yet for me.

If your using the Beta version of LW, you could add Aaron's block list to it. That should catch at least a few of them. Instructions in this thread: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/open-d...-limewire.html

Will this prevent me from getting caught?? I use Limewire Pro 4.12.3

There is probably no foolproof way to prevent getting caught. It doesn't matter what version you use or even what p2p software you use. Penalties may be stiffer for sharing than for simply downloading.
