Help With Direct Connect

When I try to direct connect to my friend's IP it tells me that I'm unable to browse host. Where does he go to allow me to browse his files? I'm using LimeWire Pro and he's on basic.

For a start, you both need to be properly configured with your firewalls. If either of you see the brick wall icon at bottom of LW's window then direct connect will not work, & browsing would be very difficult.

FYI both firewalls have been configured. He can download from me but I can't connect to him. Thanks for the imput

Whist he is downloading from you, you can browse him (via upload window.) You can also swap magnet links. But the problem sounds to me like a lack of slots or bandwidth available somewhere. Probably his (no free upload slots.) Perhaps he could open up more upload slots but restrict them to one file per person, or just more upload slots.

Even while he is downloading from me I'm still not able to browse him. as for the magnet link I wasn't even aware of that. I 'm connected right now but my friend's not home so when he get's home we'll try to figure it out. I didn't even know that these forms existed until today and I've been using LimeWire for almost a year now. Thank you Lord of the Rings for your help.
