You don't know how to delete a file?

I took some screenshot that should be of help here. You must delete the incomplete files from the incomplete folder and also delete the files from whereever you have the completed files going to.

You've probably figured the situation out by now, but i've had the same problem you're having quite a few times. It probably has a god awful file name doesn't it? No problem.. Go to your Save folder, whereever the downloads go after they're finished downloading, move everything you want to keep into another folder of the same name, ie. if the folder is called 'Downloads', move them to 'Downloads2', or something along those lines. when all thats left in the original folder is the unwanted file, simply delete the entire folder, and then rename the second folder to the original folder. Works like a charm.

If you want to remove all traces you need a tool/programme to do it like' eraser'
If you have a file that won't delete whatever you try,rather than move everything in the folder but the stubborn file,try delinvfile 3.01,great free tool and eraser.

Also if you have spybot S&D free program there is a shredder there you can shred it and it will never return

I'm new here only posted a few times but wont window washer remove anything permantley , or cyberscrub so anything erased with these would be gone forever and can not be retrived i may be wrong though?

Yes, window washer will delete using gutmann method (35 passes), but only if you choose this option,and choose 'Wash slack space' as well, and also ONLY if you specify which folder you want cleaned, try '' Eraser '' that's simpler, and just as effective (I think)
