clearing the library

i down loaded some music and moved it to the play list and then moved the music to my folder, when i went back to the play list all my music from my other file folder was in the play list. i would like to clear the playlist and everything i tried dose not work, deleting is not working ether have tried that to.i need some help. thank you dwight new on here.
